EVO-S Switch Drive: Realistic movement. Flexible control.<\/h1>\n

Watching the switch blades move slowly into position adds a touch of realism to any garden railway. The MASSOTH EVO-S Switch Drive (8444000)<\/strong> was developed with exactly this in mind. It combines prototypical slow motion with an integrated DCC decoder and practical features for everyday operation \u2013 on both analog and digital layouts.<\/p>\n

Slow movement, flexible operation<\/h2>\n

One of the EVO-S\u2019s special features is its combination of a motorized drive and a freewheel function<\/strong>. This allows trains to run through a turnout from the frog end, pushing the switch blades aside. Afterwards, the drive can be commanded back to the desired position at any time.<\/p>\n

If you prefer the switch blades to remain firmly against the stock rails, you can disable the freewheel function via a CV setting. This lets you adapt the drive\u2019s behavior to the requirements of each turnout and your layout.<\/p>\n

Analog and digital \u2013 decoder included<\/h2>\n

The EVO-S comes with an integrated DCC decoder. For digital operation, it connects directly to the DCC track supply, so no separate turnout decoder is required. Simply set the desired turnout address, and it is ready for use on your layout.<\/p>\n

Analog garden railway enthusiasts can enjoy the slow movement, too: the EVO-S supports suitable LGB EPL control panels as well as operation with a reversible DC supply. This makes it equally suitable for analog layouts and a later transition to digital control.<\/p>\n

Install, connect \u2013 the travel adjusts itself<\/h2>\n

There is no need to manually adjust or program the end positions. The EVO-S automatically adapts its travel each time it operates. With up to 12 mm of travel<\/strong> and a compact design, it is suitable for a wide range of garden railway turnouts from popular manufacturers.<\/p>\n

This makes it easy to equip a new layout or upgrade existing turnouts.<\/p>\n

Developed for outdoor use<\/h2>\n

Garden railways belong outdoors. That is why the EVO-S features a housing specifically designed for outdoor operation. The electronics are protected in the upper part of the housing, while any rainwater entering the drive can drain out below.<\/p>\n

Ease of maintenance has also been considered: the connection cable can be replaced easily if it becomes worn or damaged.<\/p>\n
