{"id":3740,"date":"2019-11-20T13:08:22","date_gmt":"2019-11-20T12:08:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.massoth24.de\/?p=3740"},"modified":"2019-11-20T13:08:22","modified_gmt":"2019-11-20T12:08:22","slug":"english-definition-of-switching-outputs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.massoth.de\/en\/english-definition-of-switching-outputs\/","title":{"rendered":"Definition of Switching Outputs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<article id=\"top\" class=\"wikitext clearfix\">\n<div id=\"page-data\" class=\"clearfix\">\n<p>Here we would like to briefly explain what reinforced and unreinforced switching outputs of our decoders are.<\/p>\n<p>Below is a drawing that explains how the outputs work (As an example with a XLS):<br \/>\n<img src=\"https:\/\/www.massoth.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Schaltausgang.jpg\" alt=\"Schaltausgang\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A reinforced output is connected between + 22V and the switching output.<br \/>\nIf the switching output is turned off, there is +22V output, therefore is no potential difference is and no current flows.<br \/>\nIf the switching output is turned on there is GND at the output, so the load has full voltage.<br \/>\nDimming is based here by PWM (Pulse Width Modulation).<br \/>\nAn explanation can be found <a class=\"wiki external\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pulse-width_modulation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An unreinforced output is connected between switching output and GND.<br \/>\nIf the switching output is turned off, there is GND at the output, therefore is no potential difference is and no current flows.<br \/>\nIf the switching output is turned on there is +5V at the output, so the load has full voltage.<br \/>\nThese outputs can be loaded only up to 10mA.
