Due to a number of customer complaints in connection with the frog polarization of the EVO-X, intensive research into the causes was carried out. As a result, it can be stated that short circuits can occur in the frog of certain switch makes (these are exclusively small series manufacturers) if the insulation is not properly layered. As it turns out, the frog polarization is subject to a certain amount of wear due to the use of the turnout, which ultimately results in the insulation being destroyed and a short circuit occurring. Despite the integrated fuses, the EVO-X is damaged. We are currently working on a solution. For this reason, we recommend only using the frog polarization if it is ensured that the frog is properly insulated.
