The MASSOTH Switching Coupler 2.0 (Item No. 8442010) allows attached vehicles to be uncoupled conveniently at the touch of a function button. This makes realistic shunting operations on your garden railway particularly convenient – without having to intervene manually at the vehicle.
Thanks to the integrated DCC decoder, the Switching Coupler can be connected directly to the digital track and controlled using either its own address or the locomotive address. This is particularly useful when no function output is available on the vehicle decoder or when the Switching Coupler is installed in a car without its own decoder.
Alternatively, it can be connected conventionally to a function output of a locomotive or function decoder. This allows the Switching Coupler to be adapted flexibly to different vehicle configurations and installation requirements.
An integrated limit switch automatically calibrates the drive during initial operation. The buffered control electronics also support reliable operation with decoder outputs that do not provide sufficiently stabilized power.
The Switching Coupler is compatible with the classic G scale hook-and-loop coupling system and features a standard coupling mount. Suitable mounting hardware for many LGB and PIKO vehicles is included.
