8142010 Automatic Shuttle

Description

The MASSOTH Automatic Shuttle 8142010 provides fully automatic and reliable shuttle operation between two terminal stations. Designed specifically for analogue model railway layouts, it independently controls acceleration, braking, stopping and the subsequent change of direction.

As soon as the locomotive reaches one of the two sensor track sections, it decelerates smoothly to a stop within the selected braking time. After the adjustable dwell time has elapsed, the locomotive automatically starts moving in the opposite direction and accelerates smoothly to the speed selected on the controller. This sequence is repeated continuously until the controller is switched off.

The combined acceleration and braking time can be adjusted from 1 to 9 seconds. The dwell time at each terminal station can be set from 1 to 300 seconds. A red LED briefly indicates that the unit is ready for operation when switched on and confirms reliable detection of the sensor track sections.

With a maximum total current capacity of 5 A, the Automatic Shuttle is also suitable for powerful locomotives and complete trains. When switched on, the electronics automatically detect the position of the locomotive and begin the correct shuttle sequence.

The compact module can be installed in a protected location, for example inside an LGB buffer stop 10310 or a building. Suitable screws for installation in the LGB buffer stop 10310, insulated rail joiners, mounting hardware and solder lugs are included.

Important: The Automatic Shuttle is designed exclusively for analogue operation with adjustable DC voltage and is not suitable for digital operation. The entire shuttle section must be electrically isolated from the rest of the layout and may only receive power through the Automatic Shuttle. The electronics must be protected against water, moisture and condensation.
